    Responsibilities

    Software Engineer Intern

     

    Work-related activities include:

    • Prototyping solutions while closely working with the software development team.
    • Collaborate with team members in design/architecture discussions.
    • Participating in regular update meetings with supervisor(s).
    • Assist and research on the software solutions and technologies.
    • Delivering technical/status reports and presentations.

     

    Qualifications

    Education:  Currently enrolled and pursing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science.

     

    Required:

    • Understanding Object Oriented Programming fundamentals and scripting language (Python Preferred).
    • Creating prototypes using HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript.
    • Experience in using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Angular, Bootstrap, NodeJS.
    • Experience with GIT or other similar version control software in a collaborative environment.
    • Understanding of Agile Software Development principles and methodologies.
    • Data manipulation and querying experience (SQL).
    • Linux command line experience preferred
    • Ability to perform Unit testing and troubleshooting.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

     

    Desired:

    • Understanding of machine learning concepts. (highly desired)
    • Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS in particular.
