    The Senior Contract Analyst will provide a high level of contract support services, including the interpretation and analysis of complex legal issues, leading teams to identify and resolve contract issues, supporting the work of other members of the Contract Services team, and serving as a department subject matter expert on contract development, negotiation and issue resolution.




    Typical work-related activities include:

    • Draft and negotiate vendor agreements, including complex software, consulting, and service agreements, statements of work, change orders and amendments.
    • Assist in the review of contract terms for proposal responses to competitive sales opportunities, including federal, state, and local RFP’s.
    • Interpret and analyze complex contract issues, and support team members in business decision making.
    • Draft and maintain contract templates.
    • Provide department and cross-functional training and guidance on contract issues.
    • Utilize key systems and processes that support the workflow of the Contract Services team, including contract management software, repositories, and department informational site.


    Minimum Qualifications:



    • Bachelor’s degree required such as in business, communications or English; Juris Doctorate is highly preferred.
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. 


    • A minimum of five years of general experience drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts required; including at least a minimum of two years of experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts is required.
    • Demonstrated experience communicating and collaborating with team members at all levels across the organization and as part of cross functional teams.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to analyze requirements in context of the business environment and develop recommendations and/or solutions regarding the contractual implications.
    • Extensive knowledge of contract templates, drafting, and negotiation and ability to train others on same.
    • Ability to interpret contract terms, and advise internal stakeholders on risk as it relates to business operations.
    • Ability to interpret policies and playbooks, and make decisions related to contract negotiations and processes.
    • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local education laws, procurement, processes, and/or systems preferred.
    • Knowledge of software license, software development and/or other IT related contract terms and issues preferred.
    • Strong organizational and technical skills, with attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work under short deadlines.
    • High level of professionalism and demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Knowledge of SharePoint, Salesforce, or other contract management tools, preferred.
