    In collaboration with other members of the Talent Strategy team, the Senior Total Rewards Analyst manages and supports the development, implementation and ongoing operation of programs in the areas of compensation, benefits, and recognition/rewards.  Through innovative program design and execution, this position ensures that programs are competitive, equitable and aligned to ACT’s business strategy.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Stay up to date with market trends and recommend, develop and implement new compensation and benefits programs to support ACT’s strategic objectives.
    • Lead process improvements within all programs.
    • Lead project implementation teams for new initiatives; oversee all aspects of the project, including development of project plans, managing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, communicating issues/risk and reporting project status.
    • Educate managers and employees on compensation and benefits programs using various communication methods - develops and maintains Total Rewards intranet site (Inform); creates and prepares key communications
    • Respond to complex questions and issues from managers and team members.
    • Manage the annual benefits enrollment and communication process.
    • Manage worker’s compensation program, COBRA administration and leave administration including ADA process
    • Collaborate with benefit vendors to resolve issues
    • Oversight and management of program compliance and completes required submissions and self-correction of issues
    • Maintain ACT’s compensation structure and ensure our pay practices are competitive and in line with ACT’s total rewards philosophy.
    • Assist talent business partners, recruiters and managers with compensation analysis and decisions including new hires, promotions and salary adjustments.
    • Create incentive plan documents, memos and other total rewards related documents on behalf of the Talent Strategy department.
    • Complete ad hoc compensation and benefit analysis as required.
    • Create and review job descriptions to ensure compliance.

    Qualifications

    Education: 

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in related area required, preferably in business administration
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired 

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role which includes the analysis, design and/or administration of benefit programs.
    • Experience in other HR related areas preferred. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Advanced MS Excel skills along with other MS Office programs
    • Knowledge of HR principles and procedures.
    • Excellent analytical skills & collaborative problem solving required.
    • Effective project management skills required; ability to work independently to meet deadlines and prioritize work.
    • Knowledge of compensation structures, job grading and job slotting, HR policy, and reporting requirements
    • Strong working knowledge of benefit regulations, market trends, and program design including working knowledge of legislation affecting compensation and benefit programs such as ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, IRS regulations, Section 125, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA and other applicable federal and state tax laws and regulations.
    • Business and financial acumen including deep understanding of tax, legal, accounting, and regulatory issues related to benefits.
    • Ability to understand, evaluate, and make recommendations on policy, procedures or practices related to compensation and benefit plans.
    • Ability to research and work through complex problems, analyze options and design effective solutions.
    • Clear understanding of employment laws and regulatory systems and requirements.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively to persons at all levels of the organization.
    • Comfortable working independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and with changing priorities.
    • Customer focused, keeping customer experience and value in mind at all times.
    • Proficiency in Human Resource Information Systems and Human Capital Management systems.
