    The Senior Business Analyst position is primarily responsible for accomplishing implementation objectives by planning and identifying specific requirements on medium and large Agile initiatives. The position is also responsible for ensuring that the requirements are created and delivered as specified by the stakeholders and as the prevailing process requires.



    Typical work-related activities include:

    • Develop user stories ensuring integrity across products
    • Elicit, construct, and develop high, quality detailed, and traceable requirements, requirements scope, and user stories
    • Work with stakeholders, technology teams, and quality assurance to monitor and ensure requirements are implemented as expected
    • Manage and track user stories (including effective acceptance criteria) in organizational tools (Jira)
    • Map high level processes and elicit requirements from processes using various organizational tools (such as Visio, Excel, and Balsamiq)
    • Support the Product Owner in the generation and maintenance of Roadmaps and Backlogs
    • Facilitate bundling of backlog items into implementable initiatives at the Scrum and Sprint backlog level, supporting the Product Owners and Scrum teams in the understanding of initiatives/Scrum feature contents
    • Engage the Product Owners to support the prioritization of work through Scrum work-streams
    • Facilitate Agile and Scrum ceremonies relating to requirements as required
    • Support Scrum including Sprint planning and estimation of effort, as well as Scrum of Scrums as needed
    • Work with peer business analysts and product owners to improve and promote the business analysis practice in the organization


    Minimum Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related area, preferably in business
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired



    • Minimum of five years of experience as a Business Analyst working on medium to large complex efforts or related work required that includes:
      • developing, documenting, or managing requirements
      • implementing complex technology solutions
    • Minimum of five years of experience with Agile methodologies in general and Scrum in particular preferred
    • Minimum of four years of experience in backlog grooming and prioritization preferred
    • Minimum of two years of experience interfacing with quality assurance or test teams preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • translate business needs into requirements, then into actions, using tools such as process modeling, creation of other visual models, business rule capture, user stories, use cases, functional requirements, and capturing effective user acceptance criteria
