    Responsibilities

    The Senior Infrastructure Engineer: O365 Administrator and Active Directory, acts as a Tower technology subject matter expert and has responsibility for the strategy and oversight on the implementation of the Office 365 and Active Directory services. This job requires a highly skilled subject matter expert who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, provide strategic thought leadership, lead and mentor others, drive results, and provide process expertise allowing them to monitor and manage the consistency of technology provisioning with the technology implementation. 

    Infrastructure Strategy and Planning

    • Oversees and maintains primary responsibility and technical oversight for the engineering, configuration, implementation, and maintenance in O365 and Active Directory services.
    • Plan and manage lifecycle of the services
    • Recommend improvements to policies, procedures and guidelines for services
    • Initiates and leads the evaluation and use of alternative technologies and tools.

     

    Operations Management

    • Maintains all aspects of day-to-day operations of O365 and Active Directory
      • O365
        • Administration of tools: Exchange Online, OneDrive, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Teams, AD Connect, and ADFS
        • Security management including DLP, Multifactor authentication, Spam, and Retention\Legal Hold
        • O365 Licensing
      • Directory Services
        • Active Directory Forests and Federation, GPO Management, Active Directory Delegations, and DNS design
        • Single-Sign On driven by ADFS
        • AWS Route 53
        • Provide best practices for OU design and creation
    • Assist with ACT’s security incident response process related to these services
    • Assist with end user troubleshooting via ServiceNow ticket management system
    • Provide operational and audit reporting as requested of the services

     

    Relationship Management

    • Work with business to identify opportunities to add business value and improve cost effectiveness of IT services for O365 and Active Directory
    • Be accountable for influencing and informing multiple key project sponsors and stakeholders of the status of projects, and broker solution information through processes such as enterprise architecture, peer groups, formal and informal networks, and documented design best practices.
    • Manage the delivery of the O365 and Active Directory and ensure that our request are handled promptly while providing ample communication to business partners to maintain expectations.
    • Accountable for ensuring infrastructure technology complies with Enterprise Architecture framework for medium-high risk and complex projects.
    • Working with various teams to leverage substantial business and technical knowledge across the team by creating the atmosphere for best practices, and driving initiatives to optimize efficiencies, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
    • Support innovation and change by leading technical and business presentations for multiple key stakeholders.

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related area required; preferably in IT or business; master’s degree preferred
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

     

    Experience:

    • 5 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 2 years of experience in managing multiple, medium to large, and production O365 and Active Directory
    • Demonstrated experience with leading large scale change initiatives, within an IT context, and in a complex, multi-faceted environment
    • Significant experience in key roles on large and complex IT projects
    • Experience with Active Directory DNS and AWS DNS (Route53)
    • Familiar with source and artifact control and configuration management
    • Experience writing script - Powershell
    • Experience in development and management of IT technology strategy and roadmaps
    • Experience in operating within a managed services framework preferred
    • Experience with multiple IT Infrastructure technologies preferred

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Possesses a mastery level competency in O365, and Active Directory, ADFS, AD Connect
    • Deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Ability to work across multiple groups: business and IT; to set direction, build consensus, and solve problems
    • Strong background in ITIL or similar process oriented framework
    • Ability to accomplish results through others (3rd party services, professional employees, matrix organization, managed service employees)
    • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with technology and nontechnology stakeholders.
